The following represent updates to CAMRA's WhatPub database took place between 7th May and 16 July 2020.

BROMLEY

BECKENHAM, WHITE HORSE (M&N/Oak Tree), 215 High Street, BR3 1AH. The pub closed for refurbishment at the beginning of March 2020 and was then unable to reopen due to the Covid lockdown. It finally reopened on July 4th, 2020.

BROMLEY, BELGO (Casual Dining), 242 The Glades, BR1 2QE. Closed February 2020. Future uncertain.

CHELSFIELD, CHELSFIELD (Patron Capital), 1 Windsor Drive, BR6 6EY. No longer Cask Marque accredited.

HAYES, PIE & PINT BAR, 6 Bourne Way, BR2 7EY. Renamed CRAFT BEER ROOMS a little while ago.

ORPINGTON, CRICKETERS (Ei Group), 93 Chislehurst Road, BR6 0DQ. Renamed CRICKETER'S KNOLL. The pub closed for a substantial refurbishment at the end of February 2020, and was then unable to reopen due to the Covid-19 crisis. It finally reopened on July 4, 2020.

ORPINGTON, ORPINGTON GPO , 214 High Street, BR6 0LS. This gastropub pub, located at the site of the former Orpington Post Office, opened its doors for the first time on July 4th 2020. Two real ales initially - Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter and St Austell Proper Job.

CROYDON & SUTTON

SE19, DOMALI CAFE BAR, 38 Westow Street, SE19 1RX. Became REUNION in 2018 - "Cafe by day, venue by night."

SE25, JOINERS ARMS (Star (Heineken UK)), 52 Woodside Green, SE25 5EU. Now Cask Marque accredited.

SE25, STANLEY HALLS , 12 South Norwood Hill, SE25 6AB. The Yard Bar is now open for weekend events. Three KeyKeg beers from Cronx Brewery are normally available; initially these are: Anglo American Pale Ale. Pop Up! and Kotchin Blonde.

CROYDON, R&R'S LOUNGE BAR, 63-65 High Street, CR0 1QE. Following a period as a restaurant became LUDOQUIST in November 2017 - a board game bar/cafe selling a couple of keg beers from local breweries (inc Signal) as well as craft cans.

EAST LONDON & CITY

EC1, OLD RED LION (Star (Heineken UK)), 418 St John Street, EC1V 4NJ. Regained Cask Marque accreditation.

EC1, MIKKELLER BREWPUB , 37-39 Exmouth Market, EC1R 4QL. The second bar to open from Mikkeller in collaboration with Rick Astley. 18 keg beers.

EC2, BRICKLAYER'S ARMS, 63 Charlotte Road, EC2A 3PE. Recognised as a historic pub interior of some regional importance.

EC2, GREEN VIC (Rainbow Properties), 42 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3EP. Closed - looking for a permanent site.

EC2, MCQUEEN, 55-61 Tabernacle Street, EC2A 4AA. Renamed Q. "Q is the latest addition to Shoreditch's vibrant bar scene, an upmarket pool, casino lounge & late night club brought to you by the same team behind the popular Kingly Club & McQueen." Keg beers available.

EC2, RIVINGTON BAR GRILL (Caprice), 28-30 Rivington Street, EC2A 3DZ. Rebranded as BLACKLOCK in 2018. Has a bar area focussing on cocktails. Sells three house keg beers - lager, pale and hoppy red sour. Also beers from Lost & Grounded, Thornbridge and Villages.

EC3, MAS Q MENOS (Masmen Project Ltd), 70 Mark Lane, EC3R 7LQ. Renamed LAS BANDEROS. Tapas Bar. Keg and Bottles.

EC3, ROMA, 14 New London Street, EC3R 7NA. Now a Japanese Sushi restaurant.

EC4, FINE LINE (Fuller's), 1 Bow Churchyard, EC4M 9HH. Closed for refurbishment.

EC4, KANALOA (Stonegate), 18 Wine Office Court, Hill House, Shoe Lane, EC4A 3BQ. Has become a BE AT ONE.

EC4, SAINT (Fuller's), Rose Street, Paternoster Square, EC4M 7DQ. Disappeared from Fuller’s website so unlikely to reopen as a Fuller's bar.

E1, DIRTY BONES (Dirty Bones), 1 Club Row, E1 6JX. Recognised as a historic pub interior of some regional importance.

E1, URBAN BAR (Star (Heineken UK)), 176 Whitechapel Road, E1 1BJ. Reverted to LONDON HOSPITAL TAVERN.

b>E2, 640 EAST (CNTNR), The Arches at the Railway Arches 157-162 Malcolm Place, E2 0EU. Closed probably in March 2020.

E2, WORKERS ARMS (Bloomsbury Leisure Group), Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, 42-44 Pollard Row, E2 6NB. The Workers Arms is in the basement of the Bethnal Green Working Men's Club which opened in 1887.

E4, STAG & LANTERN, 11-12 The Broadway, E4 9LQ. New micropub open for click and collect for the time being..

E4, WISHING WELL (Ei Group), 11 Hall Lane, E4 8HH. Reopened under Craft Union Pub Co management.

E8, THREE SODS BREWERY TAPROOM , 399 Mentmore Terrace, E8 3PH. Three Sods have moved into the premises and will open the taproom at weekends. They also do online orders.

E9, HOWLING HOPS TAP ROOM, Queens Yard, White Post Lane, E9 5EN. Spacious brewery tap on the ground floor of an old warehouse building. Ten draught beers, described as being served straight from the tank. Meat baps and veggie options.

E10, SIGNATURE BREWERY TAP, Unit 25, Leyton Business Centre, Etloe Road, E10 7BT. Closed when the brewery moved to Walthamstow.

E14, DAVY'S (Davy's (Davy & Co Limited)), 31-35 Fishermans Walk, E14 4DH. Closed after nearly 25 years following end of lease. Lease on the market.

E14, GREAT EASTERN (Star), 1 Glenaffric Avenue, E14 3BW. Renamed WATERMAN ARMS. A Grade II listed building decorated in nautical style. Five minutes walk from Island Gardens DLR Station. Darts, pool and board games. . Refurbished during first 3 months of 2020 and was due to reopen in April 2020 as pub and boutique hotel.

E15, PRINT HOUSE (BAR & KITCHEN)., 133 High Street, E15 2RB. Open in 2014 in the shadow of Deans Yard Tower. 8 keg beers

E16, BECKTON ARMS, 1 Beckton Road, E16 1PU. Closed - future uncertain.

E17, SIGNATURE BREW BREWER'S BAR , Unit 15, Uplands Business Park, Blackhorse Lane, E17 5QJ. Breweries Taproom at Signature Brew's new home opened late in 2019.

E17, TRAP TAPROOM (), Unit 4, Ravenswood Industrial Estate, Shernhall Street, E17 9HQ. On the same estate as Wild Card and Pillars opened in March 2018. The taproom has a huge range of bag in a box ciders plus beers, gins, natural wines, sodas & coffee.

NEW MALDEN, PRINCE OF WALES (Ei Group), 279, Kingston Road, KT3 3SN. Whilst a planning application for "Redevelopment of the site to provide 297 residential units etc." was refused in Jan 2018. A similar scheme retaining a space exclusively for A4 use within the new development was accepted May 2020.

NORTH LONDON

N1, ALPACA (Star (Heineken UK)), 84-86 Essex Road, N1 8LU. No longer recognised as a historic pub interior of some regional importance following refurbishment.. .

N1, ISLINGTON CAFE BAR, 1 Tolpuddle Street, N1 0XT. Renamed PIN UPS. List of London craft keg beers available on a chalk board outside. Operates as a barbers during the day.

N1, NUMBER 177 (Mendoza), 177 Hoxton Street, N1 6PJ. Renamed PLONK SHOREDITCH by early 2019 - a crazy golf bar and lots of other amusements such as bar football and pinball. Bar appears to have five keg fonts dispensing Camden Pale and Hells, Orchard Pig cider and Becks Vier.

N1, VOC, 2 Varnishers Yard, Regent Quarter, Pentonville Rd, N1 9AW. .Closed April 2019.

N4, ARSENAL TAVERN (Ei Group), 175 Blackstock Road, N4 2JS. Closed following roof collapse March 2020.

N5, HIGHBURY LIBRARY , 66A Drayton Park, N5 1ND. Renamed. Located in the vacated half of DRAYTON PARK pub at No 66 which has been reduced in size in the past and formerly housed an advice centre. Opened c.2010 as an independent Italian Osteria & bar. Having closed in 2013 becoming a restaurant by the end of 2015 it had reopened again as the Highbury Library.

N7, CROWN (BAR & CAFE), 261 Holloway Road, N7 8HG. Closed due to the health of the licensee and the COVID lockdown.

N8, FUNKY BROWNZ (BHAVISHYA INVESTMENT LTD), 5 Tottenham Lane, N8 9DJ. Closed early 2020

N8, HOPE & ANCHOR, 128 Tottenham Lane, N8 7EL. Renamed MCCAFFERTY'S, the 8th in the chain to open its doors.

N8, QUEENS (Food & Fuel), 26 Broadway Parade, N8 9DE. Reported to having being retained by TRG following F&F being put into administration.

N15, BALABAM, 58 High Road, N15 6JU. Planning permission has been granted for change of use of the Balabam pub to office use.

N15, POST BAR , 316 High Street, N15 4BP. Opened in Jan 2019 in former estate agents. Cafe bar by day, arts and live music venue in the evening. Several keg beers available.

N17, T CHANCES (--club--), 399-401 High Road, N17 6QN. Closed in 2018 following loss of license and subsequent damage. Property secured by freeholders Tottenham War Services Institute.

N22, DUKE OF EDINBURGH, 83 Mayes Road, N22 6UP. CLOSED c.2019..

NW9, CLERY'S CLOCK BAR (JDM), 225 - 227 Edgware Road, NW9 6LU. Lease for sale May 2020.

NW10, GWALIA WORKING MENS CLUB, Manor Park Road, NW10 4JU. Planning applied 2018 to demolish and replace with 17 flats - still pending May 2020

WC1, BREAD & ROSES AT THE CHAPEL (National Union of Journalists), 308-312 Gray’s Inn Road, WC1X 8DP. Closed by the end of February along with basement theatre.

WC1, QUEEN'S HEAD (Food & Fuel), 64 Theobalds Road, WC1X 8SF. Lease taken on by Market Taverns following Food & Fuel being put in administration.

RICHMOND & HOUNSLOW

W4, CHISWICK PAVILION , 12 Riverside Drive, W4 2SP. The bar of Chiswick Cricket Club is now open to the public. Usually sells London Pride and a guest ale such as Flower Pots .

W4, MAWSON ARMS / FOX & HOUNDS (Fuller's), 110 Chiswick Lane South, W4 2QA. Fuller’s have stated they will not reopen this pub.

W4, STEAM PACKET (Food & Fuel), 85 Strand on the Green, W4 3PU, TRG are understood to have bought this pub from the Food & Fuel administrator.

BRENTFORD, STABLE (Fuller's), Unit 12, 8 Kew Bridge Road, TW8 0FJ. Fuller’s have sold the Stable brand. However this bar does not appear on the list of Stable establishment so presume closed, future uncertain.

HAMPTON COURT, MITRE HOTEL (), Hampton Court Road, East Molesey, KT8 9BN. Closed for refurbishment, to reopen lte Summer 2020.

RICHMOND, DUKE (Food & Fuel), 2-3 Duke Street, TW9 1HP. Status unknown following Food & Fuel going into administration.

TWICKENHAM, TW2 TAPROOM, 80-82 The Green, TW2 5AG. .Name changed April 2020 and offering takeaways June 2020.

SW4, SAXON (East London Pub Co), 50 Clapham High Street, SW4 7UL. On the site of the demolished Kazbar. Opened as a popup selling Camden Town beers to takeaway during lockdown. Currently being furnished.

SW8, MAWBEY ARMS, 7 Mawbey Street, SW8 2TT. Closed. Planning application submitted for conversion to school premises..

SW9, PORTO, 82 Landor Road, SW9 9PE. CLOSED for upstairs conversion to a 3 bedroomed flat.

SW11, SAMBROOK'S BREWERY TAP ROOM (Sambrook's), Unit 1 & 2 Yelverton Road, SW11 3QG. Closed and will not reopen due to move to Ram Brewery Site.

Opened in August 2019 "The team behind The Tapas Room, connoisseurs of Spanish wine & produce, have joined forces with fellow experts in their field, London Beer Lab, Brixton’s acclaimed microbrewery and bottle shop, to create an exciting new venue to eat, drink and learn in Tooting Bec. The resulting marriage of these two brands is Taps & Tapas, a Craft Beer Tap Room and Tapas Bar uniting a shared culture of learning, tasting and discovery via a menu of bespoke beer & Spanish food pairings, within an inviting and non-exclusive environment." Previously Imperial Durbar, an Indian-themed coffee and cocktail bar with bottled beers only. Formerly Honey & Venom which closed in May 2014, Previously Smoke for ten years, originally a shop.

SW17, GOLDFINCH , 145 Mitcham Road, SW17 9PE. Opened in 2018 in former hairdresser. Intimate bar and bottle shop. Limited choice of draught beer.

SW18, L'AFFAIRE, 134 Wandsworth High Street, SW18 4JP. Reported closed June 2019.

SW18, SPREAD EAGLE (Ram Pub Company (Young's)), 71 Wandsworth High Street, SW18 2PT. Closed for refurbishment including hotel rooms & to be moved to part of Young’s managed estate..

W2, POMONA'S (Ei Group), 47 Hereford Road, W2 5AH. Closed after 15 years trading.

WC2, HISPANIOLA, Victoria Embankment, WC2N 5DJ. Reported to have ceased trading as of 23 March 2020.

WEST MIDDLESEX

NW10, COMMON, Old Oak Lane, NW10 6EJ. Renamed COLLECTIVE BAR & KITCHEN.

W3, PINT OF HOPS, 73 Churchfield Road, W3 6AX. The 4 keg taps have been removed. Still has a large variety of bottled and canned beer.

W7, BROGUE, 7 Boston Parade, Boston Road, W7 2DG. Became the BOSTON. Still no real ale.

W7, GROSVENOR (Food & Fuel), 127 Oaklands Road, W7 2DT. The freeholder, Rose Pubs, have taken direct management of this pub following the leaseholder going into administration.

BELMONT, BADGER KELLY'S, 14 Station Parade, Kenton Lane, HA3 8SB. Reverted to ANGIE'S V.

BELMONT, FUNKY BROWNZ, Belmont Circle, Kenton Lane, HA3 8RF. Became CARDAMOM CLUB. Sports Bar & Restaurant

HARROW, FRANKIE & BENNY'S (TRG), St. George's Shopping Centre, HA1 1HS. Not reopening following lockdown with TRG going into administration.

HATCH END, HATCH END TENNIS CLUB, 20 Clonard Way, HA5 4BU. The club has been in touch letting us know real ales from Rebellion are usually available.

KENTON, FIZZ SPORTS BAR, 217 Kenton Road, HA3 0HD. Closed 3 March - future uncertain.

NORTHOLT, NORTHOLT PARK SOCIAL CLUB, Sussex Crescent, UB5 4DR. Closed and boarded up June 2019. “The plan is to have a new building which would be primarily affordable housing with a community hall within it.”

NORTHWOOD HILLS, SAHIBS, 22 Joel Street, HA6 1PF. Was a members club from 2004 to 2018. Now run as an Indian Restaurant with bar and rear beer garden.

RAYNERS LANE, TITHE FARM SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB, 151 Rayners Lane, HA2 0XH. Since refurbishment in 2019 the bar is now open to all. Real ale usually available.

SOUTH HARROW, HORSESHOE, 326 Eastcote Lane, HA2 9AJ. No longer serves real ale.

SOUTHALL, SOUTHALL WORKING MENS CLUB, Featherstone Terrace, UB2 5AL. Demolished c.2019 for 34 flats and replacement club.

UXBRIDGE, FRANKIE & BENNY'S (TRG), intu Uxbridge, High Street, UB8 1LA. Not reopening following lockdown with TRG going into administration.

WEALDSTONE, SHANAKEE, 91 High Street, HA3 5DL. Converted to Woody's Grill restaurant in 2019.
