The former Goat Apple Tree was reborn as a Whelan's pub between November 2019 and February 2024, and is now independently leased from Star Pubs & Bars. The decor is contemporary, and a variety of seating indoors is supplemented by a garden area. The pub no longer serves cask ale, due to lack of demand. The menu includes home-cooked specials and Sunday roasts are popular. HD screens show live sport, and children are welcome until 9pm. Every other Friday there is either live music or a DJ.
