Reopened in July 2025 as an independent family pub, the Dark Horse serves two regular cask ales and one changing guest ale. The interior is comfortably furnished, with no TVs. There is a pool table and a small selection of board games. Children are welcome until 9pm each day. There is a quiz each Thursday and monthly live music event is planned.
