This is a small, friendly traditional back-street pub. Four distinct small drinking areas each have their own character, and the rear area is wood panelled. The garden area is across the road underneath the flyover. The pub was sold by Fuller's to Admiral Taverns in June 2024, and the external Fullers signage has now been removed. A change of licensee in spring 2025 has seen a wider range of cask ales becoming available. There is a quiz on Wednesdays.
