Large spacious traditional landmark pub founded in 1938. The pub's location, next to Hanworth Air Park, made it popular with RAF pilots during WWII. It was also a target for the German air force, the Luftwaffe during the war, and its car park was bombed during the Blitz. Pub closed. July 2025: sign in window states "under new management".
