The Lion is located at the corner of Wick Road and Cross Road (now School House Lane) and dates back to 1876. Victorian single-bar extended corner pub. There is a large covered patio beer garden at the back with plenty of seating. Separate restaurant area. lunch menu changes daily.

The pub is a short walk from Hampton Wick Station and the 281/285 bus routes.

The pub closed its doors on Sunday 11th December 2022. In March 2025 it was sold by Fleurettes Estate Agents to (Ref. LA-424296) to a local community group.
