Rebuilt in 1887 on an earlier tavern and coaching-inn site, after various incarnations this is now run by 202 Pub Co ex Aldrich Inns, and describes itself as a "coaching inn, public house, neighbourhood restaurant, martini & oyster bar, and boutique hotel"!
One of many venues previooulsy featured in the "Made in Chelsea" TV series. At date of this entry the site has soft-opened after a several-month refurb and now looks very smart. At least one cask ale should be available and a winter "Goat Winter Pale Ale" has been reported. Keg offerings include Lucky Saint, a Hawkstone lager and cider, and Murphy's Irish stout. There is a sports TV, often muted.
