Licensed in 1765 and rebuilt in 1899. Close to the redevelopment on the old Middlesex Hospital site, this is a ground floor bar/pub with three cask ale pumps, and four rotating craft beer lines including some foreign bottled beers. Boxed cider available alongside two keg ciders as homage to the pub's spell as a cyder house. A wide food offering includes lunchtime/afternoon sandwiches and an evening set menu. It has been reported that payments are required to be by card, cash not being accepted.
