A welcoming traditional and homely village pub, which is popular with the local community and known as the "Woody". Rebuilt around 1900 and extended in the 1930s, there is a split level bar with various cosy areas.
The main bar area serves the lower room, which is popular with diners with plenty of seating. The upper room is more popular with drinkers with the TV screen and leads into the garden. The traditional décor consists of white walls and ceiling offset by dark wooden beams and brown patterned carpet, along with former brick fireplaces, mirrors plus framed prints, photos and maps.
The spacious enclosed garden has a patio area leading up to the lawn. Summer barbecues are an occasional added attraction.
The pub hosts many events, some of which are held to benefit local charities - for the latest information use the pub's social media. Seasonal beers from Shepherd Neame are sometimes available.
